How do we choose the right cut for you?
Before we pick up a pair of scissors, we ask a few simple questions. What is your face shape — oval, square, round, rectangular? How does your hair behave: straight and fine, thick and wavy, curly? And honestly, how much product and styling time are you willing to commit to every morning?
Those three things together — shape, texture, routine — narrow the options quickly. A textured crop works differently on fine hair than on thick hair. Most appointments combine at least two of these. The barber decides the mix during the cut, adjusting as the shape develops.
How long does a haircut appointment take?
A standard haircut at Men’s Lab takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes. If you add a beard trim or beard care service — which many clients do — allow closer to an hour. We do not rush the finish: the neckline, the detailing around the ears, the final styling pass. Those last few minutes are where the quality shows.
All appointments are by prior arrangement only, with online booking available through our website; payment is made at the barbershop. Disposable materials are used at every station and the space is kept properly ventilated and air-conditioned, which matters more than people realise during a Barcelona summer.
How often should you come back?
That depends on the cut and how fast your hair grows. As a general guide, fades and close-cropped styles start to lose their shape around the three-to-four-week mark. Longer, more textured cuts can hold for six to eight weeks before they need a tidy-up.
